Our findings
There is no doubt that the air today is better than before the heavy industry left the area of Berlin, in the aftermath of the Second World War. However the city is still not living up to what the World Health Organization (WHO) recommends as healthy air.
When looking at the 3 most harmful pollutants (NO2, PM2.5 and Ozone) none of them are below the healthy levels.
This means Berlin is failing in providing a healthy air quality for its inhabitants.
