This collection contains and describes the “Lipperheidesche Kostümbibliothek” (Lipperheide Costume Library) with approx. 600 paintings and miniatures on the history of fashion and costume from the period 1450-1900, which has been in the possession of the Berlin museums since the donation and was no longer open to the public since 1934.  Together with selected prints and drawings, these hitherto unpublished visual resources and the associated research are now available on this platform. Historical garments from the Germanisches Nationalmuseum in Nuremberg  complement the image sources with three-dimensional information.
